Can this phone block texts?

ok so I just bought this phone and haven't found a way to block texts. I have had the Mr Number app for a long time and always used it and it blocks calls still but not texts on Android 6.0 uughh, is there a way and I just haven't found it yet? Or can someone suggest an app?

Which messaging app are you using? I use Googles messages for texts and to block them, I just open the app, long press on the text contact I want to block and the block option shows up in the menu as a circle with a slash through it. You then can confirm you want to block that number.

Textra has a Blacklist, which is essentially block number...

I recommend to switch to one of the 2 apps above. Not only because of the blocking abilities but because the stock texting app on the Pro sucks.

A work around I used was to call the phone number I wanted text blocked from and I was able to block calls and texts.
