Can view pic differently?

Hi...my phone is either acting strange or I'm just lost...not sure what I did but I can't turn the phone to view pictures..it seems like its locked....I usually can turn to look at pic in anyway I like but now its not working? Can someone direct me how to change back to able to turn phone to view.
