Can we view deleted images from Google pixel 2 xl when backed up?

I got my google new pixel 2 xl today. I connected to my older Lenovo vibe k5 note and got all my images, apps transferred. I have backed up all the transferred images , videos in my new phone. Knowing that the images are stored on cloud and will have my images safe , I deleted all of them in my new phone. I want to know if the transferred images are also stored since I backed them up and also from where can I view them since I don't find them in my google drive.

To see your Google Photos in your Google Drive, you need to enable the Auto Add option in your Drive's settings.
