Can you barter on price?

I'm going to the AT&T store today to get the HTC Inspire and in the Inspire forum, one guy was saying he mentioned the CouponCabin $100 off coupon online and they gave him $100 plus waived activation fees. I was just wondering, if there are any things that I should or shouldn't say in trying to get a better price...If it's too high, I can always get it from Amazon or something...

yes, the prices are negotiable. especially if you have evidence of a lower price.

yeah, that's what I meant. And I tried, I told the AT&T lady that there was an online coupon for $100 off, but she was like "no that's online only so I can't do that"

I called them, and the guy said he didn't have the ability to match prices, and if I wanted the price from here: HTC Inspire 4G - HTC - Car Toys then I would have to buy it from here.
I'm calling the store near me now...(before I called the general AT&T line)
