Can you block apps by Content ratings?

Can you block market installs based on content type? Long story short, there's a kid in my extended family who has just bought an Android device. His parents want to block Internet access on it or get reports about Internet usage. They also want to be able to block him from installing apps based on their ratings like they can on his iTouch. I know they can block Internet access pretty easily with an app that locks the browser. No problem there. My question is if there's some way to block apps based on their ratings. Can you set it up so you can block adult apps, but allow apps that are rated for everyone?

As for blocking access to certain things, they should call their mobile provider and see what options are available. That probably wont lock him out completely as just about all of these phones have wifi now.

What does being ready for it mean? I honestly have no idea. It's a wifi only tablet, not a phone so there's no carrier involved.

All of them. Google rates apps by categories from everyone to mature. Basically, we just want a way to block all installs of mature apps.
