Hello people! Im just curious. Can you clean your phone screen with little alcohol and cloth? Does it damage your phone? I'm not familiar much about alcohols but do they all do affect the same on phones? Also you recommend to have glass screen protector? I have a 2 year old phone with gorilla glass 3 screen without screen protector, and it's still looks new. Thank you people!

I wouldn't slather the thing in alcohol, but they won't hurt the screen. What they can to if used excessively is soften the adhesive holding the covers on. Most modern sealed phones are glued together. It is also a great transport agent for dirt. While alcohol will evaporate quickly and completely (no residue -- unless it's got soap in it too) but it can dissolve dirt and chemicals which it could theoretically carry into your phone.

A damp alcohol wipe won't be a problem. Spraying your phone with Windex might.

In fact phone screens have a lot of bacterias, using a bit of alcohol is highly recommended.

On the phone, too. ;)

Why not, especially phones with glass casebacks.

Or if your phone has IP68 rating, you can rinse it with soap and fresh water too. I did it a couple of times after covering the loud speaker with a piece of tape or any sticker, it's not necessary but I just want to be careful.

It wouldn't hurt your phone as it evaporates really soon. Also, i suggest you must get a screen protector for your phone for added security.
