My dad wants to get me a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime on his metro account, but he can't pay it all the time. Does he have to pay for both phones or can he just pay for his phone?

I don't think they care *how* you pay the bill each month.
But if he is on auto-pay, the entire bill is his.
If each of you want to drop payment to that single account, that is up to you.
If you pay instore, there is always an extra fee.
You could always just pay him your part, to pay the entire single bill.

One phone, one plan. Two phones, two individual or one family plan. You can't swap around, because the network knows what IMEI is supposed to be active.
But If we get a family plan does he have to pay for both phones at the same time?
