Hello everyone. Well, am an android noob, as my first smartphone was a bada driven phone called "Samsung Wave Gt-s8500", which was quite simple in use and had next to zero number of useful apps. So, I bought this Quad-core'd beast with a Mali 400 GPU Smoking Dragon.

Nice experience overall. But, I just wanted to know how much I have craped up my phone, which you can tell me after you have gone through the following points:

1)Brought the Note 2. Extremely happy. Unwraped it like it was a gift from the Gods themselves.

2)Tried to use ad-hoc from the laptop as I didnt have a router and neither did I need one as my previous phone("Wave") could use ad-hoc. Failed as I realised in the most brutal way that Android does not support ad-hoc. Why? Because of security reasons. Google wants personal information to be leaked only by their home grown apps, if anybody else other than them steal info, they feel depressed.

3)Then, went to find a hack for the adhoc just like in the ICS firmware. Realised that it will need rooting.

4)Went to search for rooting procedure for note 2. After a long and tormenting series of events, successfully rooted my phone. Superuser app started to make love to my phone's internal files.

5)Then, craped up my phone with multiple wpa_supplicant files. At one point, wifi could not start. Thought I had killed wifi in my phone forever.

6)Then, carefully read about the permisions and found out the original wpa_supplicant of the note 2. Replaced it and made sure that the permisiions were right this time.

7)Wifi worked. YIPPEE!! Cried like Halley Berry recieving an oscar award.

8)Then, left the wpa_supplicant method forever alone, and went for reverse tethering.

9)Reverse tethering worked. Did the "cha-cha" dance and slapped myself twice to regain sanity.

10)Updated all apps, but the firmware over the air update failed. Said rooting detected.

11)Played a lot of free games and used a lot of free apps. Fell in love with the phone.

12)Bought a game on google play. Paid money, got the app, failed install, no refund. Got mad like tom cruise on the oprah winfrey show.

13)Swore to God will never buy an app on google. Went online and downloaded "freedom app". Backed up original google play app using titanium backup pro and then replaced google play with a moded google play to play all pirated games and apps.

14)Played a lot of games and apps. Did not feel satisfied due to the fact that they were pirated.

15) Wanted to do a hard reset, did it, freedom gone, modded google play still there.

16)Searched how to unroot note 2. Also how to reset flash counter to 0 and all the blah blah stuffs. Found the original firmware for note 2 on sammobile.

17)Afraid. If I dont do it right, will crap up my new phone.

So, all in all, I need a go-no go from all you android experts, cause I wanna use the apps that I bought officially from google play. I know piracy is easy, but the satisfication of the fact that i am supporting the developers, and on top of that my data is safe, is what I want. I wanna reset my phone to the way it originally came.

So, all the note 2 expert users, please guiide me because i am a little messed up. If you can give me a simplified guide, that would be great. I know I did things that were like the acts of a way worse ******ed "Forrest Gump", but seeing that I came from a relatively easier OS and possessing with very little patience, I will be grateful for your usefull comments and suggestions till our sun becomes a black hole and consumes the earth. Thanks.
