Apps Cancelled Sales through Google Checkout

Hi All
First post so please be friendly.
I have successfully developed 12 apps for the Android market and all are now for sale in the Android Market Place.
For the past three days I have noticed that there have been a few cancelled sales through the google checkout.

My question is:
Are people downloading my App through google checkout and then asking for a refund and getting it while still being able to download my App and use it?

If they ask for a refund does the App then disappear from their Mobile?

i don't want people to get free access when I have made such a large investment in time and money on these Apps.

On the android market google has made it so that there's a 24 hour free trial period for buyers. If they delete it within those 24 hours the payment get's canceled.

*everyone get's a few cancellations from buyers that just want to try the app. But on the other hand if they were to delete the app and then decide they want it again they can not get a refund.
