Help Cannot activate data after updating to Gingerbread

I was able to successfully update to Gingerbread via Kies a few days ago, and everything seemed to be working fine -- even my WiFi issue seemed OK. But last night, I was not able to activate my Data Packet. I checked Settings > Wireless and networks > Mobile Networks, and Packet data is checked but the Data icon is not showing in the notifications bar. I did a long press on the Power button to bring up the menu and Data Network mode is deactivated. I tried to activate it by clicking on it, but it's still deactivated. I already did a factory reset (twice) and even downgraded to Froyo, but still the same.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong? :-(

Reset the APN settings in Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Network>Access Point Names. Press the menu key and click reset to default.

If this doesn't work delete the settings altogether and configure them again from your service provider.
