Help Cannot add a boot animation

[Boot animation problem]

I need help on this, my problem is that when I install a new bootsamsung.qmg or bootsamsungloop.qmg, the splash screen shows saying 'Samsung Note 3' and stuff, but after that I do not get the boot animation I expected and it takes me straight to the splash screen to my lock screen, making it look like I have not got a boot animation at all. I have set the permissions to the files as :

Owner: Read Write
Group: Read
Others: Read
