Help Cannot bypass activation screen

Hi...
I have the Boost Mobile version of the Stylo running 5.1.1 and the problem is that I was having issues with Playstore and needless to say I was told by Google technical support to do a hard/factory reset from the recovery menu and that would solve the Playstore problem so I did and that created a whole new and worse problem because after I did the reset and it rebooted it booted into the activation screen or mode in which it first prompts for talkback, then next language selection, then onto prompting to establish a wifi connection and if you don't have a wifi connection or data enabled and you try and select "skip for now" it won't skip it and it just goes right back to the wifi connection screen but if you do connect to wifi and try and proceed it goes to a screen where it tries to search for software updates and it just hangs on "finding updates" and never completes activation. There seems to be no way to skip the activation. I have tried everything from battery pulls to another factoryreset but to no avail. It seems like it's stuck in this activation limbo with no way out leaving the phone unusable. I can't even access the dialer. Please if anyone knows how to get the phone out of this nightmare of a problem somehow please let me know...I have exhausted all of my options. I desperately need some assistance. Any help will be appreciated. I will post pic of the screen it's stuck on. Thanks in advance.

Could the servers have just been down? How long did you wait while it was looking for software updates? Plug it in and wait for at least 30 minutes, though I believe mine found and updated the system within about 5 minutes.

Otherwise, take it back where you bought it and show them the problem. It's still under warranty too, right? So you can always send it to LG if nothing else works.

Yes I actually connected to my wifi and let it run the whole night when I went to bed and it was still running on the same screen when I woke up the next morning. And yes it is still under warranty...in fact it's only been a week since I bought it.
