Help cannot connect to pc

okay, so i recently decided to reset my phone to factory settings because all my memory was used up and it wasn't coming back even when i deleted apps.
now here's the problem. i got a fresh desktop too, and i'm trying to connect to the desktop using the usb cord, but when i plug in the phone it only vibrates twice. The drop down menu doesn't say "Select to copy files to sd card". all it does is vibrate twice.

i have kies installed on the desktop. please help

Check that the Kies' processes arent running. Restart the phone, sometimes that solves it. Restart the pc, that might help as well.
