Cannot disable - Evernote

Samsung note 4, 6.0.1 Evernote was preinstalled. Until the July 1 ota security update it could be disabled in settings. Now it has appeared again without me enabling it (although I did reset app permissions) and there is no disable option. Seems like Samsung are trying to hero out Evernote?
 
I doubt seriously that Evernote was preinstalled from the carrier....
Samsung did NOT preinstall it, that is for damn sure.

I have been using Evernote for almost 20 years, and it does NOT need to be disabled. You can exit it normally and it will stop working. You can Clear All Tasks and remove it from memory if you choose.

I had Evernote installed on my Note 4 with Vs. 4.4.4 and then 5.1.1 and then when 6.1 installed it still works just like it should. There are two versions of Evernote, the 'Free' version for only 2 devices, and a Premium subscription version for more than 2 devices per account.
 
if you insist on "disabling" it, and gawd I can't imagine why you would.

it is simple, just use Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store.
 
@mikedt, that mentions the Note 3.

It was not on the Note 4, and the OP is talking about a Note 4.....
at least with Verizon, it damn sure is not part of the OEM package.
I had to install it on my VZW Note 4, and I am still using the Free 2 devices or less app.

In any event, Package Disabler Pro can turn just about anything off.

Well I did say "some of their products". :) I know my dad's Tab 2 that I originally bought him from Hong Kong came with Evernote as well.
 
Well, it was pre installed on my new Int. non branded note 4 n910f , and now cannot be disabled, even though I had it disabled before the July 1 security update..

Yeah, unfortunately you can't disable some pre-installed apps. You can try uninstalling the updates, then disabling it. Go to Settings/App Manager/All/Evernote ... click on it ... click on Uninstall ... updates will uninstall ... then click Disable or Turn Off.

I think I actually installed it, and there was no way to uninstall it. Some how these A-holes at evernote got their app to register as a system program. Evernotes forum has their "gurus" literally laughing at us telling us to use it, that it's the only recourse. So after hours of research I found out it's actually simple to remove it and other unwanted bloatware without root access. All you need to do is download free android development tools(adb) and follow the instructions on the link I am providing and you can take anything off your phone or tab within minutes. https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/

This disabled it for me: in Apps drawer long press the Evernote icon and drag and drop it over the 'Turn off' icon from the top menu bar which appears during this action.
