Help Cannot Factory Reset

My phone has been experiencing connectivity issues lately, as in it will randomly say no signal, and take forever to load a simple text page, so I tried to factory reset it. However, my phone won't let me. When I try, it says SD card removed, but nothing else happens.

You can do a factory reset from recovery mode. Turn the phone off, hold power, and both volume buttons until you see the recovery menu. to navigate, vol down scrolls, and vol up selects the highlighted option.
