Help Cannot Figure Out Simple Music Storage Method.

I'm beyond frustrated right now because I've tried everything on this planet to get my phone to do something and it just won't.

I have Kies and my phone won't connect to it. Tried finding USB Connection Settings to switch it to MTP mode, but it's nowhere. Not in storage, no notification setting when I plug it in (it just charges). I am also using the USB cord that came with my phone. And even tried using a different one to see if that was the issue. No dice.

I started using Airdroid, which worked for a while. Then I got an external SD card for more music storage and, what do you know, Airdroid refuses to connect to the SD card. Tried Kies again, same issues. I cannot access my files without tediously putting them on my phone's storage 5 GB at a time and transferring over manually. I figure with a fairly new phone and system, it should be super simple and it absolutely is not. Everything requires 6,000 steps and half of them won't work because of some reason that I can do nothing about. And all forums related to my issue are dated over a year ago and usually refer to the Galaxy S3 with 4.3 while I have the latest update on my Galaxy s4.

Any other information needed to help solve this, let me know and I will provide it. Thank you.

Hi

Can you connect your removable SD card directly to your PC (slot or USB adapter)? Thats the easiest way.

Do you have updated drivers on your PC for your phone? If not then your PC will not recognize the phone. As far as the SD issue is concerned.....you could always transfer your music from your PC to the SD card. I had an S4 and never had any problems putting music on my SD card from the phone itself. I used the file manager I had, ES File explorer. I would long press on the file I wanted on the SD card and would chose the "move" option
