Hi,
Thanks for reading my post.
I've got an S4 with 4.4.2. The device is not rooted. About 10 or so months ago I created an EAP WiFi profile which I will never use again. I'd love to delete this profile. It used to be that when I long-pressed on the profile within my WiFi settings, I wasn't given the option to forget the profile. This behavior was, as expected, different from non-EAP profiles; long-pressing those other profiles allowed me to forget them. I used the WiFi Advanced Configuration app to try to change and/or remove the EAP security settings from the problem profile as a means by which to make the profile appear security-less such that long-pressing would present me with the option to forget the network. This worked as planned; I was given the option to forget the profile. Another problem arose, however: When I tried to forget the profile, my S4 simply told me that it "Failed to Forget Network". I'm left to conclude that the issue which is generating my difficulty isn't so much located in the content of the profile itself; rather, it's something about the way the profile was created that is the cause of the problem. I don't know where to go from here.
This doesn't seem to be a largely-represented issue. I've only found one link which contains information close to the problem that I've been having:
https://code.google.com/p/android/i...s Owner Summary Stars&groupby=&sort=&id=67887
Any thoughts or feedback to help me solve this issue would be most appreciated! Might there be a work-around? Am I missing something? Again, thanks for your time.
