cannot get facebook notifications

Gakaxy s3-I cant receive fb notifications. I have all of the notifications and alerts enabled. I have even restarted my phone but I still cannot get notifications. I had no trouble on my 2. Any suggestions??

Did you try going into settings>accounts/and or sync, and making sure auto sync is turned on??

This is an issue with the facebook application if I am not mistaken. Sometimes the application just does not push notifications properly. Go to settings,applications,facebook app and clear its cache and data. Restart the device,log back in to facebook and reset the notifications. Then go to settings accounts and sync and make sure facebook is set to sync as needed. This should resolve the issue. Much of it is caused by application data and cache issues upon first install.
