Cannot paste into Facebook

If I want to paste something from Google Search into a FB comment, I must switch from my Samsung tablet to my OnePlus cell phone to do it. The Samsung tablet will not paste from the clipboard. When I select "paste" it takes me to my photo collection. How bizarre is that? Samsung has not shown any sign that they give a crap.
