cannot receive texts as memory too low

I have a samsung Galaxy Ace and I know realise that the internal phone memory is low but I seem to have run out of memory and cant receive any texts, also I have lost half of my contacts

You should try to clear out some of your internal memory. Uninstall unused apps, transfer your pictures to your computer and then delete them from your phone (videos take up a TON of space too). You can check available space by accessing Settings > Storage to check the available memory vs. total memory.

If the problem still persists, it may be a deeper issue.
