Help Cannot send pic/video messages.

Hello. I have a old Droid 2 that I have owned since it was first released. This past month, the phone has stopped sending pic/video messages whenever I am connected to my home wireless network. I haven't changed any settings on my phone or home network, nor has any of my equipment or service contracts changed. Right now, the only way I can send a pic/video message is to physically turn off wi-fi and resend. What are some things I should look at or do in order to correct this?

There is nothing wrong with your phone.
MMS messages(pic and videos) can only be sent over 3g/4g,(verizon's network)
Not sure the reason, but that's just the way it is.

When I try to send pictures or videos when I'm connected the wifi, the 3g will turn on while it's sending, then go back to wifi. It does this automatically.
Did yours used to do this and then stopped? Or did you just set up your homes wifi?

Yes. I have to actually turn off the wi-fi or the message transmission will automatically fail. It's only 2-3 seconds after I hit send that I get the error message. This was not the case until just recently.

Are you using the stock messenger? I'm using handcent. Try it if you're not already.

I have recently had the same issue...I can receive pic/vid messages, but I am not able to send them. I tried using the Handcent sms app, and it still doesn't send them...regular texts are sent with no issues. HELP!

Are you using an app like juice defender that turns off 3g data? Or another app that turns off data to conserve battery?

I'm going to say it has to do with bad reception. Or the phone itself may be faucan. have you contacted your service provider. I'm sure they can help you out
