Cannot Sign in to gmail on my new cprtia8

I bought my new Sony ericsson xperia x8 a week ago. I have not been able to sign in to gmail.i can however sign in to gmail using pc.As a result ,i can't access the android market to download and update my phone.i can't also open my officesuit to read my powerpoint and word documents.Please help.me .Thank you.

Please make certain that the password to your gmail account is correct. I know you have likely checked this but it's worth checking again. Case sensitive without spaces etc is all important. You may need to remove the gmail information you have in your phone and re input that info. For better help for your device you should check in with the Xperia people. They can be found here:
