Cannot Sync Gmail

When I try to sync Gmail I have suddenly received the message - Your email will appear shortly - then nothing.

I have totally shut down and back again - no good.

Uninstalled all updates to Gmail then installed - nothing

Cleared all data and cache - nothing.

Calendar syncs normally, just Gmail is stuck.

I can access Gmail via the web browser.

Hi,

The only thing that I can think of, other that what you have done, would be to delete the Google account associated with your email from the phone and then register it again.

Android 2.2?

I'd check to see if any updates are available for the gmail app and Android services. I'm not sure if you will be able to update, though.

I didn't think Android was supporting 2.2 with Google services anymore.
