Help Cannot Unlock My Phone

My Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo
Android version: 4.4

Hi, I locked my phone via the Google Android Device Manager because i thought i lost it (i didn't) Now when i found the phone and entered the password it doesn't work and i can't get into the phone. I tried to lock it again with Android Device Manager with different password but i got message - "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password that you entered won't be needed." So i don't know how to get in. What should i do ? Thank you.

As you've discovered, you can't actually use ADM to change a password (I know that the description sounds like you can, but it doesn't work). So if you had a password or PIN set before you first used ADM that is the one you should use to unlock it. If you had no screen lock set then the first time you used ADM should have set a password, in which case that same password should unlock. it

Since you have a Samsung, have you ever set up a Samsung account? I've found some posts suggesting that you may be able to unlock using Samsung's own device manager at findmymobile.samsung.com - certainly sounds worth a go.
