I rooted a friend's Mes last night using step 5 here: [Guide]Installing A Rom/cwm Recovery/root/or Going Back To Stock. - RootzWiki
Everything went over fine. Then I went into the Voodoo CWM(if I am understanding this correctly) and tried to flash the ICS ROM. the phone gave me and error in CWM as it was trying to flash(I do not remember exactly what it said, sorry). I rebooted the phone as normal, DL'd root checker just to be sure, and Root Access was good.
Next, I DL'd ROM Manager and had it flash CWM(Maybe a mistake since the Mesmerize wasn't on the list of phones, so I chose the Fascinate, assuming the CWM would work all the same. Once ROM Manager told me that it was installed, I told ROM Manager to boot into recovery. I was going to try and re-flash ICS, but as I selected the first wipe, CWM Froze and I had to do a battery pull(I waited about 20 minutes and there was no response from the phone at all).
I am a little lost and would feel better unrooting and restarting completely. However, I cannot find the factory Image for the Mesmerize. The only thing I was able to find as a live DL Link(thanks to megaupload being shut down) is the GB image for VZW. I am afraid to do anything with this in case some VZW related screws up the USCC phone.
I am not a noob to rooting, as I have rooted multiple phones in the past. However this phone seems to have scattered support. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

***ADDITIONAL INFO*** This phone is currently on 2.2.1 AND Every time I restart the phone, ROM Manager force closes
