Help Cannot use touchscreen when on a call with Update 2.3.3

Just got the 2.3.3 upgrade. Now when I'm on a call, I cannot use my touchscreen (cannot flash over to an incoming call, cannot use the dialpad, etc). Only way to get touchscreen working is to open the slide keyboard. Is there a fix?

Yes, and I hate these new dock icons - I can't seem to get rid of the ones I don't use - I use another messaging app, and can't change or get rid of it. Haven't noticed the touchscreen problem yet. When I woke up this morning, the mega download was waiting for reboot, and I didn't see an option to not accept the change. I guess I am calling Verizon!

This is horrible--no one seems to have anything good to say about this new update. Aside from noticing the diminished battery life & the fact that I can't use the touchscreen when on a call *unless I first slide out the keyboard and put the call on speaker phone*, then I guess it's not too bad (then again, I was at work today and didn't really get to play around with it too much)

So after calling Verizon 2 separate times (and promised a callback that didn't happen) I disabled the Display Auto-Rotate. This seemed to resolve my issue but only temporarily. Now, when I want to use my phone & make sure the touchscreen will work, I first turn ON the auto-rotate, exit out of the settings, then go back in, disable it & then it's OK for a few hours.
Seriously though? Is this going to be my life until I get a new update?

Yep, same exact thing is happening with my D2. I make calls with the keyboard out now. Been having lots of issues w calling since the update. Often have to turn droid off and back on for calls to connect. Most of my apps are force closing now. I've heard that backing up your data and doing a fresh install fixes it all. This is because the update doesn't install optimally. So that's what I'll probably do
