Cannot view nor transfer from Phone to PC

Hello,

I'm trying to pass the information and pictures from my Samsung to the PC, but it keeps loading and loading and never shows the files, I can't transfer the info to my computer, I only get what I'm showing you here:

It stays this way forever and never shows anything.

I didn't have any problem before, but since last week I'm having this issue.

What happened? and what can I do to solve it?
 
As an urgent solution, you could temporarily use Google Drive or any other web-based storage service to store the files and transfer them to your computer.
 
Can you check the following:
  • When you first plug in your phone make sure the device is unlocked at which point you may get:
  • A notification popup on your device to allow sharing or
  • You need to pull down the notification shade and select the USB settings and choose file transfer; after which you should hear the phone disconnect and reconnect to your PC. Your files should then appear.

I could, though it takes a lot of time, specially with videos and pics taken with the camera (they have big size). And I'd like to solve this issue with the phone and the SD card.

I made sure to do it, I see the notification, I allow the phone to share and I also select the USB settings and hear the sound, but the files still don't appear. I even tried with the "picture transfer only" which turns the icon of the phone into a digital camera, but they don't appear either and I can't see anything.
 
Do you have your SD card mounted as adoptable storage? (is that even possible on a J7?). Is your SD card encrypted? If "no" to both those questions, then try removing the SD card and using a card reader to examine the files on your PC.

You might also try using a live USB stick (or live CD) to boot your PC to some version of linux and see if you can see the files that way. Since Android is built upon a Linux kernel, no drivers are needed to mount the phone's file system. It's much cleaner.
