cant boot recovery

sorry for the annoyance but idk where ells to go. i have an optimus v which i have rooted using gingerbreak . the trouble is i cant get into recovery [holding down home pwr and vol up buttons] it just shows lg symbole and gose to an illuminated black screen same thing happens when i try to install a rom make backup etc . it turns on and runs normaly just fine tho plz help

Hmm are you sure you doing the correct sequence of button pressing to boot into bios?

i think i am dude ,thnx for wanting to help out btw, but it just satys on that black illuminated screen for ever dude id hope i didnt eff somthing up
 
okay i tryed the xionia recovery followed instructions on how to flash it but it cant find "adb" and patches etc on pc terminal and i tryed on terminal emulator on phone and it cant find the img that i try to flash
