Apps Can't build app..

As soon as I get an error when I try building, If I fix the error and try to rebuild it still will not build. there just appears a red x by my project name and when I get an error message:

"Your project contains errors, please fix them before running your application."

no line numbers or anything, is there a way to get a more detailed message or way to clean solution?

Every time I have a problem like this, I restart eclipse.
Then check the "problems" tab, or the "console" tab to see if there is any clue to solve the problem.
