Hi guys, I managed to unpack the RAMDISK image of my MTK MT6577-based phone (Alcatel One Touch Idol 6030a), wich have too low RAM, so I decided to pack my own kernel with the SWAP add-on enabled, so I can swap unused data in RAM memory to that virtual disk. The problem is that "zImage" compiled without errors and just 2 warnings; then I packed it with my "boot.img-ramdisk" folder, and named zImage as "boot.img-kernel" just to get it a bit organized. Then the result was a nice successfully compiled "boot-new.img" (I also named it like this, to make sure it's my own one and not the original). Changed name to "boot.emmc.win" and generated a md5sum for "boot.emmc.win" named "boot.emmc.win.md5" to get it flashed easily through TWRP Recovery. Nothing failed while flashing but now, the phone starts, get's on ONETOUCH white over black logo, and then reboots to the same (I mean, black screen > logo, black screen > logo, and it's infinite), so the only reason I think is that I badly compiled kernel, but I used the default config wich comes on MediaTek folder for my model and brand, just added SWAP support.
Anyway, I'm still using the phone restoring back to the original one, but I want my own to work because of the RAM of that phone, wich's very ugly :'(
