Help Cant connect Nexus 7 to PC..I screwed up

fixits

Lurker
Nexus 7 updated to 4.2.2
Windows 7
Root using Wub toolkit
USB Debugging on

Unlocked and was running perfectly on previous os version (4.2.1?)

After OTA 4.2.2 Stickmount wouldn't read any OTG device. I did a quick google search and found a thread where stickmount developer mentioned SuperSu update related to the problem. I updated Supersu via Google Play and that is were the trouble began.

Opened SuperSu after update and was met with an error regarding missing binary and "This is a problem". Don't know the exact message because cant duplicate now.

After that my Nexus and computer refuse to communicate. I get a "USB device not detected" error and it shows an "unknown device" on the device manager. I have reloaded the drivers and followed the Wub toolbox instructions multiple times and can't get the drivers to update.

No matter what method I try to update the drivers my PC tells me that the unknown device already has the most recent driver.

I have done a full system reset on the tablet and took care of the Supersu error but still no luck.

At this point I just need them to communicate and then I can reflash back to 4.2.1 and then not touch anything. I am such a newbie to this kind of stuff that I really shouldn't be messing around with anything but I am a tinkerer at heart....

Ideas/Questions/Comments??

Thanks folks..

**Update**
I connected my tablet to my wife's Win 8 laptop and it recognized it just fine. (I did use the same USB cable)
Comes back to a driver issue with the PC I guess???

**Fixed it**
Replaced the usb cable and works just fine....?? This is the same cable I have used for 4 months with no problems.
Hope this posts helps someone else with a similar problem.
