Can't connect tablet to kies after 2.3.0.12035_16 update.

A couple of days ago when opening kies on my computer I got an update.
I installed it and all was going fine until I tried to connect my tablet via USB and nothing... It just keeps saying connecting for ever and never actually connects.
I can connect via wi-fi but I woould also like to be able to connect via the USB cable.
All was working fine before this update and it is driving me crazy.
I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling kies and also the drivers but still nothing.
Is anyone else having this problem? Or know how to fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem and have not as yet found a solution!

I think it is an issue with the tablet not resetting the MTP connection or some application preventing the connection from being used (putting it in test mode ?? )
as the only way i can ever get it to work is to completly reset the tablet and then it works the first couple of times then stops.
I dont know enough about the OS to begin hacking around yet so maybe someone else already knows a backdoor reset. I dont have the time at the moment to do the methodical research needed.-.
anyone out there have a clue where to start
