I have a Samsung Galaxy Rush SPH-M830. I'm trying to copy images from my pc to the phone with the usb/charging cable (which I have done before) but I get and error window saying "cannot copy file. the device has either stopped responding or been disconnected." This just started happening in the last couple days, and I can't figure out what might be causing it. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Have you confirmed your USB settings on your Rush are unchanged?
2. Have you tried to reinstall the Samsung drivers for the pc you are using?

If the suggestions above do not fix the issue you might check the forum for your specific phone. Forum members should be able to help.

A quick reboot of the phone may also help with the issue.

How old is your phone? If you've had it for a long time, the USB functionality of the phone can sometimes get very "picky" because the charging port is getting worn.

My SGS1 and SGS2 got that way towards the end of their service lives.

Another way around it if you can't figure it out, get a USB 3.0 Micro SD reader for $8-$10, and put your SD card in that to move files over to your PC. That is sometimes faster, too, depending on the files you are transferring.
