Help Can't delete gmail from Google account.

[Gmail Problem]

I stupidly created a Gmail account and now I can't delete it off my Google account, which has a Hotmail address as primary. When I try to delete it, it wants a new email address and my current Gmail password. But I can't enter my Hotmail address because it's already primary, and it tells me that a user with that name already exists. How do I delete Gmail?

You must have a primary gmail account. You cannot delete it.
