Help Cant delete text threads and something weird is happening.

Hi, i and very new to my phone but i do know computers so, when i got this phone i could delete a text with no problems., if i had like 5 text threads there i could delete them all together and the screen would be blank. the other day i had 7 text messages from 7 different people and i decided to delete all text threads and now there still there but under the persons name says (no subject) with a date of dec 31 1969. i can still sent a text but i want to delete all so the screen looks blank, showing no text (threads) help, what do i do, whats wrong. thanks

I think everyone was busy rooting their phones or installing this rom or that rom to even be able to feed themselves, let alone help you out.
