can't download mms apk

Hi everyone,

New to this forum although this is't my first android phone. I accidentally deleted the stock messaging app on the galaxy 3 and now I can't receive picture messages. I tried the 4 shared download and it say can't install. I've been reading some of the forums about this same issue but I have no idea what half of them are saying. I need help in the simplest form to explain how I can get the stock messaging back. Thanks in advance to all who helped.

Welcome to the forum. Installing a core app requires that the permissions be changed. I've done this with a rooted device, I don't know if it can be done when not rooted. The easiest way to get mms back is to do a factory data reset. You will need to set the phone back up, though if you are syncing with your Google account, that isn't very hard. I suggest you visit the SGS3 section for more precise info.
