Help Cant find an Installed App

Lurker
I'm an app developer, and I'm issuing app builds to myself in the form of a .apk file. Once I download the .apk onto my phone (Galaxy S6) I'm able to run the app from the screen that tells me the app was succesfully installed, but after closing the app I can't seem to actually find it anywhere to run it again. It's not listed with all of the other apps. If I go into settings->applications I can see the app there and can manipulate its settings but I can't launch it or create shortcuts from there, my only real option is to uninstall it or to manage its data settings. I can also go into the file explorer and manually find the installed files for the app, but there isn't a launcher from there either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried restarting the phone but no luck so far.

How can I get this app to show up with all of my other apps? I'd like to avoid reinstalling the .apk every time I need to launch the app.
