Can't find Emergency alerts settings

You're referring to things like AMBER and Presidential alerts. which are used in the US? Is it a US version S6 Edge you've got, because others, sometimes referred to as "international", may not have settings for US specific emergency alerts. I have a UK purchased Galaxy S7 and a Chinese version Huawei Mate 10, and they don't have these settings in them.

Yes, its also used here in New Zealand for civil defence alerts, like tsunamis or floods. They're called SEVERE and EXTREME alerts rather than the US specific names. My S6 edge is a carrier unlocked version, and so is my dads S6, and yet his phone gets the alerts and it has the settings for them. His phone is also a carrier unlocked S6 purchased from the same store I got mine. Seems rather bizarre that the S6 gets the emergency alerts system and the Edge doesn't, if thats the case.

How do I know what version I've got? its a SM-G925I if it helps

On a Verizon phone, this is How to turn off Amber Alerts on the Galaxy S7 Edge: 1. Swipe up or down to display the gear icon to access SETTINGS 2.Navigate SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS> MORE CONNECTIONS SETTINGS (way at the bottom) 3.Tap EMERGENCY ALERTS 4.Tap the 3 dots in the upper right, then tap Settings 5.Tap ALERT TYPES 6. Select any of the alert types and turn off.
