Can't find music files

I might be being stupid, but I can't locate my music files on the phone when connecting to a PC via USB. I want to delete/add tracks but can't see where they are! They all show up and play perfectly in Play Music. Grateful for any advice - many thanks.

Did you download those files to your device? Play Music is a cloud based appso you have to be online with Play Music to do that. Data rates apply.

Well, I did say I was being stupid! No, I haven't downloaded the music to the phone, which probably explains why the 'music' folder is empty! But I've just put the phone into flight mode, turned off wifi and the music still plays. Most odd.

Interesting... Maybe they're temp files?
They'll probably dissappear if you restart.
