Help Can't get 4G LTE on Nexus 6P with AT&T

Hi. I switched carriers from Verizon to ATT, but haven't been able to access 4G LTE on my Nexus 6P. Are there any tricks to get it to connect? I just talked with their Tech Support, who talked me thru adding a new APN, but this did not fix the issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are these the APN settings you're using?...

Name: ATT Phone
APN: phone
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: None
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified

Hi, thanks. Yes, I have tried those APN settings and it didn't connect to LTE.

couple of things.

try going to settings > more > cellular network settings and make sure LTE is the preferred network type.

also try settings > more > cellular network settings > access point names and use ATT Nexgenphone (essentially the only difference is APN type: default, mms, supl, fota, hipri

reboot after switching.

This has been happening to me on AT&T. I think it's a problem with the last monthly security update. The fix is to go into your cellular settings, change the preferred network to 2G and then back to LTE.
