I am not getting any more replies to my previous thread so I am trying again here.
I have learned that I can get the phone into recovery via ADB, which is detailed at Team Android. But having followed these instructions and various others, I am unable to download any software that works properly. Could somebody please point me to a reliable source of tools to get this phone into recovery mode, or even download mode? Then I would like a ROM for the i9000 that works OK. I'm not ungrateful to all the wonderful developers out there, but it's getting very frustrating when everything I try fails. Nobody can call me on my phone right now!
