Can't get Network to connect

klgiger76

Lurker
I have a ALCATEL PIXI CHARM LTE A450TL that I bought on straight talk but they couldn't get the service to work. I thought it was them but after the issue is on tracphone too I can't figure it out.

But what happened that tracphone can't figure out either but the phone they said is activated it is one of there phones when you boot it says tracphone. But like it has like search icon over the network. It won't find the signal.

When making calls it say Mobile network is not available.

I tried setting the network manually but says can't connect. I have tried taking out sim card waiting awhile still no luck

thanks

You might be better off going to a different service shop, any place that sells you a phone where the staff cannot get it working on its own cellular network, or WiFi connectivity either, is a pretty clear indication there's a problem.
Also, be aware that even when you do get that phone working with some kind of online access, it will have pretty severe limitations. The hardware specs are just too minimal -- you will be coping with daily usage issues because of the low amount of RAM and frequent low storage space problems as there's so little amount of storage memory.

Yeah I understand its just I am sick with Huntington's kinda hard to leave apartment I only gonna text and call with it. With disability my money is limited or I would of gotten a better phone.

OK, now I'm able to see a clearer picture of your situation. With the Lifeline program being the next target for elimination by the Trump administration it's an iffy time to suggest a subsidized phone/service but have you looked into Republic Wireless or Consumer Cellular? Switching away from Tracfone or Straight Talk you might be able to pay less while getting a better, more usable phone.

Another, more tentative, option that's more conditional -- if you have a computer or laptop (plus some sort of headset as you also need a microphone) and if you have a broadband connection and WiFi available at home, you can get a Google Voice phone number. It's free and once you do there are a lot of features available so instead of using a smartphone you'll be working through a web browser interface.

Yes that is what had was qlink it was free for android phone but like i moved to Illinois from Colorado cause everything is cheaper. And when I changed the address they cancelled my service. Even though the phone works fine. I put another application in to get approved.
