cant get rid of "ongoing notification"

Hey everyone, I cant seem to get rid of a ongoing notification in the notification bar/ drop down menu which is a failed upload to facebook that is stuck on 60 percent. had this happen when i first bought the phone and ended up reseting to factory defaults because it was bothering so much, dont want to have to do that again. Thanks for any and all your help!

Long press on the notification won't give you the choice to clear it?

Or Settings, Apps, Facebook and clear cache ... and maybe clear data.

I have had a problem with facebook upload before. I know it wasn't as simple as clicking on it but I do remember being able to just cancel the upload.

But as mentioned above force closing the app from app management and clearing the info should do the trick.

You will need to enter your Facebook password again but it's better the settings your phone back up to the way you had it.

I've had this problem as well, dont understand why it seems to happen when my signal strength isnt that good, even when the photo has uploaded successfully the upload notification bar remains at 60 % the only way i have found to clear it is to restart the phone using the power button. Turning the phone on and off did not clear the notification.

On my samsung note 2 i went to settings/application manager/selected the application with the ongoing notifications (in my case Navigator Download) and unchecked the "Show Notifications" option. i closed, checked notifications and noticed the annoying one was gone. I then went back to the application and rechecked the "Show Notifications" option
