Can't have torch on constantly when opening a camera app anymore?

Hey everyone,

After recently updating to Android 6.0.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S6 I have noticed I can no longer have the torch/camera flash constantly on. When opening a camera app like Snapchat for example it turns off the torch. I've always found when taking a photo it's a lot easier to put the torch on before hand and then take the photo with it already on which would result in a lot less out of focus or over exposed images. The phone's camera just has a lot less trouble having to focus or correctly expose the photo when the flash is already on especially in low light. Is there a way to change this back to how it used to be before updating to 6.0.1 where opening a camera app wouldn't disable the torch?

Kind Regards,
Daniel

There are so many apps that use the camera but disable controls (so you can't turn on the flash), that it was a very useful feature. Now for whatever reason they have disabled it and that sucks. I used to use it to turn on the light before going into my banking app so it would take proper check pictures, or before going into my walmart app so it would actually focus and scan a receipt properly
