Help Can't hear Google Now Voice

Hi all,

I have a Moto X with Android 4.4.2 on ATT. Judging by the fact that when I click "System Update" it says my software is up to date, I am guessing this is the latest available software.

It used to be that even when my phone was on silent, I could still here the Google Now woman's responses perfectly well. But recently, it seems to depend on the ringer/notification volume--which means that when my phone is on silent (which it always is), the voice is extremely faint/quiet and I can't hear it unless I put my ear right up to the phone.

How can I fix this issue? It is really bad judgement if this is intentional, because even if my phone is on silent, I clearly want to hear Google if I ask it explicitly to talk to me!

Thanks.

Ii just played with it on my Droid Maxx for you.

For me in silent mode it is still present and the volume buttons control its volume.

Try increasing the volume to maximum and put it in silent mode.
