Can't increase minutes on plan

We have the family plan with 4 phones and 1400 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data for all. We usually only use about 400 minutes a month total for shared minutes, but this month we are already at 1175 with 10 days to go. I am used to being able to go online and increase the minutes for the cycle I'm in if needed, then go back to the 1400 the following month, but we can't do that any more. When I tried, the screen warned me that I have unlimited data and it is no longer available. If I change my minutes, the only option is the share everything plan, I will not be able to get back the unlimited data. I quickly signed off then notified my other 3 phone users that they are only allowed to call VZW phones or use it after peak hours until the end of the cycle.

You have 10 Friends and Family numbers available as well...have you set them up? I (and the other 2 Android users) have my Google Voice number(s) listed on FF and use Google Voice Callback to make free outgoing calls. You just have to add your GV number to contacts so it can use caller ID. If you want free incoming calls as well then set GV up to show the GV number in caller ID, not real caller ID. With that set-up I used over 3000 peak minutes this billing period (ends the 12th) and NONE of them were billable minutes. Not one. Five lines used less than 500 minutes. It's kinda a PITA but well worth the hassle!!
(I'm not sure why that app is only on Amazon now, it used to be on Play too. Great, great app though!)

Just an FYI - not all plans had the 10 F&F option...

We have 6 numbers set up on the F&F plan, but the numbers that were called were not normally called. I think my overage is 40 cents per minute. It won't be too bad as long as we try not to talk for the next 10 days : )
