Help Can't launch new Tablet after root

I've recently bought a LENOVO TAB2 A10-30 as an Xmas gift, but have just found out that it has been rooted (partners son!) with Kingo Root.. It now won't launch at all, getting no further than the Lenovo powered by android screen.
I've tried the wipe data/factory reset option in system recovery several times but it hasn't helped.
Is there anything at all that can be done as it obviously can't be returned to the store?

You need to re-flash the firmware from the recovery, as Kingo damaged and corrupted it, no other way to get it working again I think. Unfortunately Lenovo doesn't usually make their firmware ROMs publicly available online. And only things I can find online are for the Chinese version of this tablet on Baidu Pan, which can't download unless you're in China....

Lenovo service might be able to re-flash it, which will be chargeable of course.

Many thanks for the advice.. but the problem is fixed, I returned to the store & unbelievably they replaced without even looking at it/opening the box!
