Can't Load Orange Mapping

Have just purchased new Samsung Galaxy Ace on Orange contract and am unable to get "Orange Mapping". Screen comes up with message in a box:

"Internal error occurred. Plese restart application and try again"

Exit.

Has anybody got a suggestion?? Also is it possible to download as an App Google mapping on this phone? Is it any better than the Orange mapping supplied.

Sorry about the number of questions but this is my first smartphone​

Welcome to Android Forums.

Check your app drawer for an app called Maps, you should have it already as it is an integral component of the Android OS. If it's not there, you can get if from the market.

I'm having the same trouble on my sonyericosson x10 mini pro....... I've also added the orange maps bundle to my contract, and do have the maps app lunatic59 is talking about....... i was wondering does anyone know if u need the orange maps app for the bundle u add to ur contract or will it work with the maps app already installed on the phone??

The Orange maps app and Google maps are two different programs. I don't believe they share any data at all.
