Cant make calls w google voice app

I have Google voice with my own cell #, not a GV #. But when I go to make a call with with the regular keypad or via GV there is no option to place the call with GV. When I go to GV settings the only options it has are never use GV, ask every time I place an international call, or use GV for international calls only. Never a mention of using GV for domestic calls. Anyone know why? Currently using Droid with 2.0.1.

I'm not sure, but since your GV# is the same as your cell #, that may be the reason why. When you have a different GV# than the number it forwards to, it asks if you want to dial out using GV so it appears to the other person that the call is coming from the GV#. It's still using your cell network (and therefore your plan minutes) when you use GV#, it just changes how the number appears to the other person. Since your numbers are the same, there's really no need to dial out using GV.

I could be completely wrong, I'm just offering a suggestion as to why it's like that. I use GV myself, but I have a separate number for it.
