Help cant manually unlock uicc from sprint ???

i have a samsung j3 emerge 6.0.1 my wifes aunt passed away and we got the phone. its a boost phone and the service had been removed already i called to get it unlocked but they said without the acct info from the previous owner there was no way... cant ask a dead person. so theres really no way to unlock ?

thats wat i was afraid of... istalled a downloaded custom rom and now having the hardest time getting an os to work.... boo
